A Weekend In Feminine Dress

Welcome to A Weekend In Feminine Dress on The Catholic Lady Blog.  This is when I post pictures of myself or a volunteer wearing a modest, elegant outfit in order to encourage women in the important and wonderfully enriching apostolate of femininity.  If you are interested in sending in your photos for publication here, please do so at: .  Thank you!
Oliver is an amazing baby!  He is so good and spends most of his time sleeping.  I don't know if I just forgot how much newborns sleep or what.  We have spent the past few weeks getting to know him and of course the children are all head over heels for him.  I thought today I would just post some pictures from the past few weeks especially noting the dress I wore to Oliver's Baptism which I made before he was born and it fit!!  I was so excited because it was impossible to determine the correct size when I was still pregnant and so I just took my best guess.
I hope you're all doing well.  And happy Fall!  This is my favorite season and I really want to do a post with outfit ideas soon.

Introducing Baby Oliver

After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, he finally arrived two days late.  I don't know how those women do it who have to wait over a week to meet their little ones!  The last few weeks were so difficult and I was so sore and tired, but it's incredible how quickly those memories melt away as things change and children grow.  Anyway, I much prefer this nine pound baby on the outside!

So let me introduce...

Born September 6, 2015
9lbs 22in.

My husband originally choose it, but I do think Oliver is such an adorable, sweet name for a baby boy.  We are all falling in love with him and I'm spending most of my time trying to prevent too much cheek pinching (a very popular pastime of toddlers around here)!

"Free Kim Davis Rally" Draws a Thousand Supporters

“Free Kim Davis Rally” Draws A Thousand Supporters
"On September 5th, members of The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) joined nearly a thousand protesters at the “Free Kim Davis Rally” outside the Carter County Detention Center in Grayson, Kentucky.
The huge throng of local supporters dashed any hopes of making Mrs. Davis’ case an “example” to discourage further resistance to same-sex “marriage.” The crowd’s attitude was peaceful, but resolute. Signs in support of the jailed county clerk waved above their heads, while participants voiced indignation at the unjust court order of Judge David Bunning with cries of, “Show me the law or free Kim Davis!”"
